We need a drummer aged 15-18 to rehearse, record, and gig occasionally. We're an all-girl band putting the finishing touches on our first EP in a reputable Portland studio. Our drummer doesn't need to be a girl but needs to be good. We play guitar, bass, and keyboards - and we sing. Material is all original. Bands we dig: Bad Brains, Incubus, Hole, Alice in Chains, Bauhaus, Rage Against the Machine, Mr. Bungle, Kittie, Jeff Buckley & a zillion others. We need our drummer to be: 1. reliable (show up on-time for everything; that means having a dependable car/ride and an impeccable sense of timing - which you should have already because you're a drummer) and communicative (call/text/email back quickly: don’t keep us hanging) 2. dedicated to THIS band (gotta make it your priority) 3. issue-free (no hang-ups, no ego, no drama, no personal distractions, no drug use, no excuses when it's your fault, etc.) 4. amiable, positive, music-centric, and generally COOL Additional pluses (but not deal-breakers): songwriter; ability to play other instruments, read charts, and sing harmony (versatility!!); and any other personality quirks that might endear you to us... Be focused, driven, talented, and available, and don't contact us unless you fit the profile and are serious about committing yourself.
