MISSING IGUANA

S. 13th st. near Chesnut St., Darby PA

Description

Missing on 5/4/2021 in the backyard of a property on 13th st. Off of Main & chestnut st. (By Darby creek) Orion is about 20 inches in length including his extremely long tail. There are more spikes on head/back than pictured as these photos are a bit old. **He has grown a lot in size since these photos were taken!** Reddish/Orange body with a bright green belly. Will appear more rusty/brown when he’s cold. (Anything below 70 is cold for him!) He is usually very docile outside when being handled but got spooked and ran off this time around. He is likely extremely scared outside alone right now as he’s still a juvenile. He likes the sound of his small treats being shaken in a plastic container, spray bottles, and making a clicking sound with your mouth. Bright colored things like flowers, fruits & vegetables catch his eye. A lot of sources say iguanas will most likely go up into trees when outdoors, but it’s too cold for him to be mobile right now so he may be lodged or “stuck” somewhere for warmth. My main concern is him having adequate heat to stay alive, and steering clear of predators around here like cats and raccoons. Keep an eye out for a long-rusty colored iguana & Keep Orion’s safety in your thoughts and prayers please<3
