In return, we will pay you well and offer you the opportunity to go as far in your career as you want to go.Pay rate: $16.00 per hour.Job is in a Step Progression Range with Salary increases up to $21.01 within a 3 year period.Generous benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as company-paid life insurance start on your 60th day.401(k) with annual company match starts on your 90th day.Paid holidays, vacation time, educational assistance program, and more.JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThis position is responsible for selecting product and loading trucks (example - moving product between the loading dock and the warehouse and moving product within the warehouse) with a high degree of accuracy and great sense of urgency while meeting standards within McLane established guidelines.ABOUT THE JOBOther duties may be assigned.A teammate in this position must have the ability to: Review documents and record information verifying quantity, identity, availability and condition of product.Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free.Drive and operate the reach truck, pallet jack and fork truck to select, pull, sort, and stack product within the warehouse and dock.Hand stack product on occasion when off balance or in the wrong location.Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders and remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.Arrange to clear isles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area.Meet this positions physical demands.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSA teammate in this position must: Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent Have 1-2 years of distribution warehouse experience including operation of reach truck, pallet jack & forklift is desired.Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred Lift 50 60 lbs on a consistent basis and up to 100 lbs occasionally.Be able to work 10 plus hours shift, typically from Sunday; at times weekends and holidays will be required.Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity preferred.Be able to read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.Be able to perform mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to verify quantities of product.Be able to apply understanding of problems involving some variables.Possess strong problem-solving skills and excellent time management skills.Be able to deliver customer satisfaction within McLane guidelines.Independent discretion/judgment but work well in a team environment as well.WORKING CONDITIONSThe environment encompasses all areas of a Distribution Center Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required.MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN THE FREEZER
