We are looking for people to participate in a Zoom focus group/mock jury on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 3-6 pm. This focus group will take place entirely online using Zoom video. We will not meet in person. To be considered for this focus group, you must: 1. Have a desktop or laptop computer or a tablet (no cell phones allowed). 2. Have a functioning computer webcam. 3. Have a strong internet connection to minimize video lag and eliminate connection drops. If connection is lost, you will have a grace period of five (5) minute to reconnect. After that time, you will not be allowed to rejoin the group. 4. Have a quiet location where you will be uninterrupted. 5. Agree to be in front of your screen and have your video on during the entirety of the session. 6. Agree to mute your microphone the entire session except when you are selected to speak. 7. Have an active PayPal or Venmo account as these will be the only means of receiving payment for your participation. 8. Agree to not operate any motor vehicle during the entirety of the focus group. Full participation is required. Failure to comply with any of the eight (8) requirements above for the entire three-hour session will result in no compensation. This is a mock jury where people will give their opinions of cases. If selected as a member of the group, you will receive a confidentiality agreement via DocuSign. This must be returned prior to receiving the link. You will receive a Zoom video conference link at 2:30 pm via email, provided the confidentiality agreement is returned. Log in will be no later than 3 pm. Anyone attempting to log in after that time will not be allowed to participate. The compensation is $50. Payment will be made through Venmo or PayPal and funds will be available 15 minutes prior to the end of the session. To be considered, please email [email protected]. Applications returned without complete answers will not be considered. ***Note: participants who have participated in a mock jury focus group within the last six months may not be eligible to participate on this date.
