Description
HECH is Seeking an experienced year-round maintenance person - 30 hours/week. This position will perform various general maintenance tasks including preventive and emergency maintenance to rental units as well as grounds care. He/she responds to requests for repairs to the inside or outside of the building i.e. change light bulbs and fix faucets, but may also be required to do more complex tasks such as maintaining heating and air conditioning units, working with plumbing, and minor electrical. An organized and skilled maintenance person will also inspect the grounds and buildings.
Some specifics:
o Year-round position (30 hours/week) – flexible on hours/days
o Competitive wages
o Must be able to participate in emergency on-call service (paid)
o A Valid driver’s license & Vehicle are required
o Follow-up and complete work orders in a timely fashion; safety requests are the priority
o Maintain project scheduling
o Ability to estimate time/cost for repairs
o Must be able to lift 50 lbs
o Must have basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and HVAC
o Must have excellent communication skills and have a strong customer service philosophy
o Construction Supervisory License and/or Home Improvement Contractors License preferred
