Project Overview
This project allows the intern to become a part of our team here at Crossroad Pastures for the duration of the summer. Throughout this internship you will learn about biodiversity, soil health, poultry health, poultry reproductive systems, customer service, processing of poultry and packaging of poultry, interpersonal communication, as well as what it takes to start your own Farm.
Expectations
This internship will require you to actively participate in farm labor 2 days a week (which ever two days work best for you). You will also be required to participate twice a month in our harvest (every other thursday). Reliable transportation is a MUST. You must be willing to work hands on with our chickens and with the processing of our chickens. You must be able to lift and carry 50 lb. experience in butchering, hunting, farming, heavy equipment operation, and farm biosecurity are all a huge plus.

In this internship the company owners you will be working with will personally coach you on how to properly run a farming business as well as help you on any struggles that you experience during your internship. At the end of your internship you will receive a letter of recommendation from the company owner. This letter of recommendation can extend on for however long you would like, we will always be here to write more letters for jobs or schools of your choosing. These positions also offer room to grow. The company is willing to hire someone at the end of the Internship if all goes well. *You will also receive a 100 credit for the companies product*
