Aloha, Thermex Inc. is in search of a new heat treatment technician because our senior tech has moved off island. Thermex provides structural heat treatment and tenting to the entire island of Kauai, Hawaii. Heat treatment is the #1 chemical free alternative to fumigation. Heat treatment is proven to kill drywood termites, powder post beetles, and mold without any chemicals. We are a successful company with work booked out for months and need extra help. We are currently searching for an individual that can work flexible hours and days. We generally only work Monday through Friday but sometime have a job that needs to be taken down on Saturday morning (this is rare). Each job takes 2-3 days depending on whether we are just doing interior only heat treatment or if we are doing interior and exterior heat treatment and tenting. We are based out of Kilauea and would prefer someone that lives on the north shore or east side at the farthest. Most of our work is north shore and east side Kauai. The job consists of setting up heaters, fans, ducting, extension cords, generators, electronic monitoring systems, and tenting buildings. The tenting is done with heat resistant disposable plastic and we do not tent over the roof. We just need to tent from the facia/gutters down to the ground and then wrap a firehose around the building to secure the tenting material at the bottom. You will need to be fit, hard working, motivated, on time, professional, flexible and dependable. This is a cash paying position and we start our workers at $20-25 hr. After you are experienced and trustworthy to perform jobs without assistance or guidance your pay will increase. It is a bonus if you have a truck that can tow a 10,000lb trailer.
