Description
I'm in my 30's and have been playing guitar for over 20 years. Spent the last two years with an established local group on the peninsula; we gigged weekly and one released album. That group recently split up due to people moving out of state, so I'm looking for new projects for recording/gigging as venues begin to open back up. I have experience gigging with rock, country, blues, jazz, and acoustic groups. Educated in music theory, previously taught guitar lessons, and have more gear than I probably should, including a drum kit in my studio. I also play bass, mandolin, percussion, sing (mediocre) and I toy around with a few other things. My home studio setup is equipped with everything needed to produce and release pro-quality tracks.
Looking to link up with potential collaborators to start a new project, or to join an existing project, hopefully to include songwriting, recording and releasing material, and gigging. Only requisites would be skill on your instrument(s) and at least a conversational knowledge of music theory (chords/scales). If you are any of the following, let's chat:
- Singer and/or songwriter
- Drummer/percussionist
- Bassist
- Pianist
- Violinist
- Multi-instrumentalist of any type
A few of the projects I'm interested in pursuing:
- Singer/songwriter
- Folk/Americana in the vein of Jason Isbell, Josh Ritter, John Moreland
- Americana with an edge, a la The White Buffalo, The Devil Makes Three, Ian Noe, Lost Dog Street Band
- Blues rock, anything from early Black Sabbath to Allman Bros
- Modern blues rock/metal, eg Witchcraft, Church of Misery, Elder
More than happy to help get someone enthusiastic up to speed on theory if the drive is there. Not interested in teaching someone basic competency on their instrument. Not available for cover bands.
