New York Rock Vocalist looking for the right band...

New York City NY

Description

Singer looking for an established (or semi-established band). I'm a seasoned vocalist with a few albums under my belt. Without going into too much self-promotion, I've had songs on radio and some pretty decent write ups regarding the bands I've been in and vocals I've written and recorded. I'm looking to branch out into something new - something that rocks, but isn't afraid to be simple if the song calls for it, i.e., it's about what's right for the song. Songs that can be moody, busy and heavy, have room to breathe at times and... a band that doesn't 'over play' or feel the need to show off their skills at every opportunity (you get your moments). Also, looking for a band that isn't afraid to use modern sounds and styles/effects. An acoustic here or there is cool if it's meant to be, and a cover or two thrown into live shows... because well, the audience appreciates it. (reference: practically any famous rock band during live performances) Here's what I don't want: I'm not looking for a 'prog' band. I'm not looking for a cover band. I'm not looking for artists that are just learning their instruments - though I wish you the best in your endeavors as you grow. I'm realistic about what it takes to make it in this industry. Members would have to be just as dedicated and willing to put in the work, finances and promotion. Invest in social and other platforms. A simple post on your FB/IG page is not 'promotion'. Weeknight rehearsals are preferable. Leaves weekends open for gigging and unwinding from the work week. You've read this far - Happy to send Samples... Drop me a line. If things don't work out, it's still great to connect and network. Best!
