Description

A community conversation with panelists Community Dialogues: Racism and Anti-blackness CHBC believes that in order to better serve BIPOC (black, indigeneous and people of color), immigrant and refugee communities, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Public Agencies, Non-profit and government agencies must focus on Leadership development programs that intentionally recruit people of color and that incorporate individual leadership training, organizational capacity building, and constituency development. We present an opportunity for us to come together and discuss anti-blackness and racism from the perspectives of different communities. CHBC invites you to this series of community dialogues to learn and dream together of thriving and inclusive communities, a justice system that is open and accessible, particularly to those who need it most, and an environment where advocates and organizations have the training, tools, and capacity needed to work effectively and collaboratively. It is time to tackle the barriers that get in the way of building the deep connections needed to transform our country by ending racism and creating communities that hold Black people’s dignity and therefore all of our dignity! When: Saturday May 22nd, 2021 Time: 10am to 12:30pm Via zoom (link information after registration)
