Pro Civitate Dei is an annual program radically reaffirming the restoration of Western culture in an atmosphere of Christian conviviality. It Doesn’t Have to Be This Way:The Future of Christianity, Law & PoliticsPro Civitate Dei 2021with Ius et Iustitium, & cosponsored by the Basilica of St. Mary. * Thursday, June 10 (evening) till Sunday, June 13 after Mass.* Featuring: Sohrab Ahmari (New York Post)Patrick Deneen (University of Notre Dame)Pedro José Izquierdo (Universidad de Navarra)Gladden Pappin (University of Dallas)C. C. Pecknold (Catholic University of America)Adrian Vermeule (Harvard Law School)& the editors of Ius et IustitiumThere will be sung traditional Latin Mass and Vespers offered by the Rev. Fr. Carlos Hamel of the Fraternity of St. Joseph the Guardian (diocese of Fréjus-Toulon, France). Registration is open on a first-come basis to students & young professionals age 21 or older. For all inquiries contact [email protected]. Registration includes conference admission, meals (Friday & Saturday only) and nightly hospitality. Travel and housing are not included, but discounts for a nearby hotel are available upon registration. PCD may also be able to connect registrants with others looking to share housing. St. Mary’s Lyceum is easily accessed from the King St-Old Town Metro station, twenty minutes south of downtown D.C. Pro Civitate Dei graciously acknowledges the support and assistance of the Basilica of St. Mary, as well as the cooperation of Ius et Iustitium. ABOUT PRO CIVITATE DEI Pro Civitate Dei was founded by the Rev. Fr. Carlos Hamel, FSJC, in 2015 to organize conferences in France, the United States and Chile that reaffirm the restoration of Western culture in a rich intellectual and liturgical environment inspired by Christian conviviality. Pro Civitate Dei's U.S. programming is directed by Gladden Pappin and Matthew Menéndez, with the gracious assistance of our benefactors and volunteers. Based in La Londe-les-Maures, France, Pro Civitate Dei enjoys the blessing of the Most Excellent Lord Dominique Rey, bishop of Fréjus-Toulon. The Fraternity of St. Joseph the Guardian is a public association of the faithful of diocesan right (Fréjus-Toulon). The Fraternity is a registered public charity under U.S. law, 501(c)(3). Pro Civitate Dei is a nonprofit established in France under the loi 1901.
