Description
Summary: Receiving Specialist are responsible for making sure all shipments coming in and going out with products and materials meet a set of predetermined quality standards. Essential Duties Inspect all incoming products by confirming specifications, conduct a visual and measurement test. Report identified issues to the Receiving Manager to approve the rejection and return of unacceptable products. Perform weighting for product and Labeling codification process for all shipments inspected to correctly identify product specifications, and supplier information. Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs. Operate Classification Machine to classify product by type and weight. Document and update classification results by completing reports and logs. Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing processes in each station before and after every shift according to cleaning procedure and sanitizing procedure. Document and update records for each cleaning process Document and update records for each sanitizing process Perform periodic finished product quality control inspections and report results to the QC manager. Document and update the periodic inspection results by completing reports and logs. Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Adheres to Company Policies & Procedures and complies with FDA, OSHA and SQF Rules and regulations Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good communication (English/Spanish) and active listening skills Good Judgment Education and/or Training Manufacturing, Warehouse or Shipping & Receiving Experience General Skills Ability to maintain quality, safety, good manufacturing practices standards. Verbal and written communication skills in English & Spanish Strong interpersonal and interdepartmental skills and ability to work in team environment. Computer skills included but not limited to: Microsoft Office and NetSuite/ Oracle. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. The position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. The employee may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist and lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. The employee must be able to lift 50 pounds and use proper lifting techniques. May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, pushing and pulling of boxes. Work Environment: The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective equipment. For the most part the position is exposed to ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. Work: Monday - Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM and occasionally Saturdays and/or evenings as needed to meet company needs.
