Join us for the Upstate NY Chapter Meeting & Training in Binghamton, NY! The Upstate NY AFSA Chapter is pleased to invite you to our Chapter meeting & training! Please join us Wednesday, June 2nd, from 10:00am to 4:30pm Meeting / Seminar Location: Binghamton Country Club 1401 Robinson Hill Road Endwell, NY 13760   We will be conducting this event both in-person & virtually, by request. Our June Chapter Meeting will take place between 10:00AM - 12:30PM with lunch to follow. After lunch, the American Fire Sprinkler Association will be hosting a seminar on Storage Sprinklers (See below for more information on the seminar), until 4:30pm. Our brief chapter meeting will cover relevant topics such as: Current Legislation affecting Merit Shop Fire Sprinkler Contractors as well as Small Businesses. Update on the Chapter Status and Further 2021 Meeting Plans. Seminar Information: Storage Sprinklers  This seminar will cover the installation and design requirements for sprinkler systems protecting storage. This lecture will specifically review the spacing, positioning and obstruction rules for CMDA, CMSA, and ESFR sprinklers, as well as the design options associated with each. Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to: select the appropriate type of sprinkler based on the building construction, apply the appropriate design requirements based on the assigned hazard, and use/apply the different obstruction rules for the three sprinkler types discussed. This seminar will be presented by John Denhardt, P.E. Vice President of Engineering & Technical Services of the American Fire Sprinkler Association. This Seminar will also be suited for Local Authority's Having Jurisdiction and Engineering Officials. The Seminar will be eligible for (4) Continuing Professional Development Hours. **Upon Registration to the Meeting, COVID-19 Guidelines and Procedures will be emailed**
