Learn the basics of handgun safety and shooting in this two-hour clinic tailored to educate new gun owners. The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is hosting a two-hour Handgun Basics Clinic for new gun owners who have recently purchased a firearm and want to become proficient at shooting. The class will highlight gun safety and basic handgun shooting. The Lee Kay Public Shooting Range is a clean, safe and professional environment with knowledgeable and friendly staff ready to assist handgun owners. This is a hands-on clinic and participants need to bring their own handguns and ammunition. We will not have handguns or ammunition for use. Eye and ear protection is required and is available for sale if needed. COVID-19 All participants will be required to have a mask which must be worn at all times except while actively shooting. Social distancing is expected and we will use every other bench to maintain a minimum of six feet of spacing. If you are sick or experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, please stay home. All high touch areas or surfaces will be sanitized prior to the class. Hand sanitizer will be available for participant use. It is the DWR's goal is to keep our staff and the public safe. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are implementing and following all restrictions and recommendations from state and local health officials. We encourage you to do the same and to practice social distancing and responsible recreation during any outdoor adventures.
