Live Music at Mr. Goodbar Fernway: Fernway was created in 2017 by 5 unique musical minds looking to redefine the sonic landscape of traditional rock. The band’s sound pulls from a wide pallet that blends elements of pop rock and alternative emo, with rudiments of jazz harmony tucked underneath, resulting in a conglomerate that is equally refreshing and unpredictable. Quit Yourself: Buffalo based emo band Quit Yourself makes earnest music that focuses on love, loss, and the places that made us. Originally a solo project, Quit Yourself was formed Dundee Michigan-native singer-songwriter and guitarist, Travis Matheny. Matheny, a scene veteran played with groups such as Fairway, Words After, and I’m Happiest When, releasing his solo album For Those Who Cared in 2020. Now joined by drummer John Smigielski, Quit Yourself still finds influences in Blink-182, Cassino, Days Away and Taking Back Sunday. They are currently recording their debut record with Jay Zubricky at GCR Audio. The first two singles “Get Better” and “Home” are currently streaming on all platforms.
