God is at work through His Church doing something great and powerful. Marcus’ message is authentic, formed out of four generations of apostolic mission and pioneering work in SE Asia. His prophetic voice on Love Your Enemy was forged working violence-torn regions, rescuing child soldiers and learning how to navigate relationships with militant drug cartels and insurgent groups. Marcus is passionate about paradigm shifting the church into a clear expression of Papa God’s amazing and good heart in the world. Not only has he established work like www.ProjectAK47.com focused on child soldiers as the “least of these” but he has gone on a discovery journey of learning how to serve “the worst of these,” the perpetrators of injustice. How does this apply to you? Marcus has birthed a Love Your Enemies movement from his journey. As he and his community learned how to penetrate enemy territories with the redemptive love of the cross, Marcus also began to see that God was at work in his church for something great and beautiful. Read Leviticus 26:7-8 with a New Testament lens: “You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.” What if the Church painted huge targets of God’s love on her enemies? What if we had a reputation for aggressively loving, blessing, praying for terrorists, democrats, republicans, our evil boss, colleague, betrayer etc.? What would that do for our authenticity? There is an amazing gift God is offering us here, as the threshold of crisis in our nation and globally is extremely high. Issues like race, minority, social media rage, polarization, rich/poor gap, human rights, immigration and patriot movements boil and foment. How do we navigate this? How do we shine bright as God people full of Holy Spirit? Love Your Enemy will bring some answers to the table and will give you an amazing vision of Papa God’s heart.
