A local Airway Heights steel fabricating company, specializing in the marine industry, is looking to hire multiple people for their Hot Dip Plater position. This position is responsible for carrying out various tasks in the hot dip galvanizing process of steel components. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (may include, but are not limited to): -Tends equipment to coat iron and steel products with corrosion-resistant molten nonferrous metal -Suspends metal objects and structural steel from conveyor hooks or places them in wire baskets -Immerses objects in chemical solution to clean surface of scale and foreign matter -Lowers objects into tank of ammonium chloride or other flux to protect surface from oxidation and facilitate coating -Dips objects into tank of molten metal to coat objects, using hoist or conveyor -Removes objects from tanks after specified time and places objects in designated storage areas to cool objects and remove excessive coating -Smooths coating, using wire brush and file -Inspects objects for even and complete coating and returns defective objects for reprocessing QUALIFICATIONS: -High School diploma or GED equivalent -Positive attitude and ability to work well with others -Good oral and written communication skills -Good knowledge of basic math skills -Able to read and comprehend measuring tools, such as a tape measure -Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand for long periods of time -Able to pass a background check and drug screen SHIFT & PAY: Day Shift - 6:00am to 2:30pm Pay - $14.50/hour BONUS AFTER HIRED PERM: -$100 bonus after being hired perm -Pay increase to $15/hour -Additional $100 bonus after hired perm and 90 days of employment To be considered for this position, please submit an up-to-date resume
