A local marine industry business specializing in the manufacture of boat trailers is looking to hire multiple Assembly and Manufacturing Line workers. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Operates fabricating machines such as drills, shears, presses and saws to punch, cut, shape bend and saw metal pieces necessary for the manufacturing of boat trailers -Read, learn, understand and interpret blueprints and work instructions -Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly of components or products, and prepare products and other items for shipment -Manage inventory following established guidelines and procedures including labeling and locating parts, picking parts from appropriate locations in specified quantities to fill kits or bins -Inspect and test parts and products as necessary, during or after assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards -Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to maintenance plans and established procedures -Practice problem solving and troubleshooting techniques as part of a team responsible for realizing continuous improvement to products and processes. -Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas QUALIFICATIONS: -Must be mechanically inclined -Be familiar with hand tools and tape measures -Able to read, write and comprehend simple insturctions, correspondence, and memos -Welding experience is a plus -Must be able to lift up to 75lbs and be on feet most of the day -Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen SCHEDULE & PAY: Monday through Friday $14.50/hour Assembly position: 4 day shift positions available - 5:45am-3:15pm 5 swing shift positions available - 3:00pm-11:30pm (training would be during day shift) Manufacturing position: 5 swing shift positions available - 3:00pm-11:30pm BONUS INFO: -$100 hiring bonus after hired perm -Pay increase to $14.63 after hired perm -Additional $100 bonus after hired perm and employed for 4 months To be considered for this position, please submit an up-to-date resume
