We meet at Active Passion before 8 AM then head over to nearby Stude Park to begin our 5k distance together. A simple down and back route down the bayou will start your morning off right, then we head back to the coffee shop ( Active Passion) to do a post-run stretch and enjoy 10% off in-shop. This week will be followed up with our guest speaker, Dr. Amber Lowe. ABOUT DR. AMBER LOWE Dr. Amber Lowe, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT has been practicing as a Doctor of Physical Therapy since July 2012. Since that time, she has practiced in typical outpatient settings as a PT, Clinic Manager as well as a student, resident, and fellowship mentor. In December 2019, the seed was planted for a change in the delivery mechanism for her practice. She wanted to be able to deliver more specialized care to her patients and spend more individualized time with each of them. Starting a mobile practice, Performative Physical Therapy and Run Coaching, allowed for just that. Amber has always been dedicated to better patient outcomes. She became a director at her first clinic only six months after graduation and has managed a clinic ever since with her clinics always prioritizing patient care and a great work environment.-Amber completed a sports and manual therapy fellowship in 2016.-She became a mentor in a residency program in 2017.-Amber became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist in June of 2018.-Then in January 2019, Amber completed her level one dry needling certification. From a running perspective, Amber has been running since 2006 when she joined the Cross Country and Track & Field Team at Texas Lutheran University. Since that time, Amber has run 1 full marathon, 1 Tough Mudder, 4 ½ marathons, and an unknown number of 5Ks, Turkey Trots, and the like. Due to her love of running, she became an official run coach in 2020. And now she brings her knowledge to the Active Passion community.
