Open Position Available Position Title: Worker Dude Compensation: $18/hr. starting plus tips Hours: Thursday- Monday 8:30am-5:30pm; Part-Time; Pay-Per-Job We are a small, locally owned, high-end moving labor company, located in Bellingham, servicing residential and commercial clients in Whatcom and Skagit counties. We have built our reputation on our dependability, the quality and efficiency of our work, and our friendly, professional customer service. We promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork between moving staff, office staff, and clients. New movers will work alongside senior, lead movers to develop skills and methods consistent with our standard of quality. We encourage longevity and advancement within our company as we grow. We are looking for a professional mover to join our team. This job requires you to meet your team at the job site. Daily requirements will vary depending on the requirements of specific jobs scheduled, but this position regularly assembles and disassembles furniture; moves furniture, boxes, and appliances; packs residential belongings; and drives rental trucks between locations. Responsibilities for the Position: Follow Safety Standards – Safety is our top priority! Each employee must follow established safety standards. Moving Labor – Moving boxes, furniture, etc. This will require lifting, carrying, climbing and descending stairs, using hand trucks, etc. Furniture Assembly and Disassembly Packing (Residential and Commercial) Customer Service – Communicate with customers about moving jobs. Carrying and maintaining moving equipment Desired Skills and Experience: 1 year of moving or general labor experience preferred. Excellent Spatial Awareness Strong Communication Time Management Attention to Detail Friendly and Professional Customer Service Ability to Work Independently Ability to Work as a Team Organization (Keeping track of tools and supplies) Ability to develop creative solutions when confronted by unique problems Requirements: Must be 18 or older Must be able to lift up to 100lbs. on a daily basis Must have reliable transportation Must be Dependable & Punctual Must be able to regularly work outside in inclement weather Having your own vehicle, WA driver’s license, and proof of insurance An iOS or Android smartphone with an active data plan Pay: $18.00 starting (with the possibility of a raise after 90 days) Applicants must be responsible team players that are good at taking direction and working independently. Must have a positive attitude, take pride in work and attention to detail, with excellent customer service and time management skills.
