Our specialties include commercial asphalt maintenance and repair, concrete install and replacement, and new construction services. We are currently looking for an Asphalt Foreman at our Fort Myers, FL location. The Asphalt Foreman will be working as a crew leader, overseeing asphalt laborers and equipment operators performing work activities relating to the spreading, finishing, and compacting of asphalt. Some responsibilities will include: Communicating the job to and with the crew. Assigning crew tasks. Operation of all types of asphalt paving equipment including asphalt paver, screed, rollers, broom skid steer and backhoe. Complete operation of Weiler, CAT1000F and Lee Boy asphalt paver(s). Conducting manual labor. Operating small equipment such as skid steer, backhoe, roller or highway broom. Using small hand tools and ability to shovel and rake. Equipment cleanup and maintenance. Recognizing, addressing, and resolving issues/problems among/between crew members. Maintaining work standards and outlining behavioral expectations to ensure crew morale and productivity. Organization of inventory. Overseeing the execution of the work, including quality and production, ensuring that the crew works to job specifications and follows the plans. Assisting in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices. Inspecting and measuring completed work. Preparation of daily production records. Maintaining foreman’s log & site reports. Daily timekeeping & reporting. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements -High school diploma or equivalency required, and 3-5 years of experience as a tradesperson. -At least 5 years of experience in Asphalt paving and 2 years of paver and roller operations. -CDL license is a plus.
