This is for beginners to macro photography or for those who want some refreshers and ideas for personal macro projects. A class for those new to macro photography or would like some more inspiration to develop personal projects and look at the world in a new way through macro lenses. We will look at some examples, talk about macro photography as art and why it can be good for the soul, and then we'll start taking some photos during our session. The class ends with a call to action for you to photograph the world using macro photography and then posting it to the class Facebook group for feedback, continued inspiration and more! (And if you're not comfortable with Facebook, you can email the instructor instead.) Let's learn to love taking macro photographs together! Topics Covered: We'll explore how macro photography is different from other types of photography.A discussion of how macro photography can be a calming, pleasing way to deal with stress in your life.We'll look at macro photography techniques to increase your skill and enjoyment shooting macro imagesWe'll spend time in-class taking some photos inside and outside of our classroom.Time will be given throughout for questions and answers. Who Should Take This Class? This is for beginning photographers who want to explore macro photography, or to think of macro photography in a new way. It's a beginner's course, but a good working knowledge of your camera does help! Required Materials - Bring your own camera! You should come ready with a camera that you intend to take macro photographs with. Don't have a macro lens? No worries! Let us know what camera you are bringing (it must be a DSLR or mirrorless) and we can have a few macro lenses available for you to try during class. *Attendees will be invited to the Rockbrook Camera EDU Facebook Group for continued education, conversation and community exclusive to Rockbrook Camera EDU students and instructors. It's a safe place to share, learn and grow! About Jerred Zegelis Jerred or Mr. Z, as his students fondly know him, has been a photography teacher and photographer for more than 18 years. Jerred's goal for every class is for each student to find their voice through photography. Our classroom and store are sanitized throughout the day and after each class. Hand sanitizer is available for use. As of August 11th, masks are required by City of Omaha ordinance - 42309. Due to the uncertain conditions surrounding Covid-19, classes may be canceled at the last minute. If a cancellation takes place, you will be notified and fully refunded.
