Teachers who effectively engage students in the learning process and relay relevant knowledge create classrooms where students become curious and excited about what they are doing and consequently enabling them to take ownership of their own education.
Join Lake County Office of Education for an engaging four-day institute where participants will gather the skills necessary for creating and maintaining well-managed, academically challenging classrooms, where teaching and learning is fun and effective.
Institute sessions will cover:
introduction to the California State Standards and development of high-quality, rigorous, curriculum and sequencing guidehow to use student active engagement strategies within your lessonshow to build meaningful, Lake County focused, student relationshipshow to develop and implement a positive classroom environmentThis institute is required for all Provisional Intern Permit and Short Term Staff Permit holders per the Commission on Teacher Credentialing support requirements.
This event is suggested for interns, teachers new to the profession, or new to Lake County.
