You will receive solid Bible teaching, and we will also go out on the streets in small groups to help "kickstart" you. In the book of Acts, we read that God was using ordinary people to do extraordinary things. The church was growing fast and believers were being filled with the Holy Spirit, and the disciples preached, healed, delivered, and led people to be baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit. The apostle Paul emphasizes the importance of acting in (supernatural) power: "My message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God." (1 Cor. 2:4-5, NASB) This was the 'normal Christian life' for a disciple of Jesus Christ. Is this kind of life still for today? Are we as disciples of Jesus still called to do these same acts? Yes! We believe this is still for today and for every believer who wants to be a disciple of the Lord Jesus. TEACHERS: Jeremy Gilbert and Wendell Stallings (Torben Søndergaard will not be at this event.) Jeremy is a graduate of the Luke 10 school from The Last Reformation and is in continual relationship with TLR's core leadership. Jeremy was a pastor, then an evangelist doing revivals and now devotes most of his time to disciple-making in house fellowships and equipping the church for the work of the ministry. Wendell leads a home fellowship in the Charlotte area and will be hosting this event. He has attended Kickstart trainings from The Last Reformation while following Christ and teaching others to follow the call of Jesus. PROGRAM: Our kickstart seminar is 2 days of discipleship. The teachings will be very practical and will include going out on the streets, healing the sick, and sharing the gospel to make disciples and fulfill the Great Commission. Baptisms will also be available, so be sure to bring extra clothes if you are intending to get baptized.
