MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough and Hudson will hold a joint household hazardous waste day event in May at the Easterly Water Treatment Facility. Residents will be able to get rid of a wide variety of items, from old appliances to oil paint and other types of chemicals. Marlborough and Hudson police will also be on hand to collect unwanted prescription medicine. However, a range of items will not be accepted at the event including: AsbestosExplosivesDrumsLatex/acrylic paintMedical wasteLarge appliances (refrigerators, stoves, etc.)Items containing PCBsRadioactive materialsTiresUnlabeled materialsThe event will run from 9 a.m. to noon on May 22 at the treatment facility located at 860 Boston Post Road.
