Tucked away amid the trees is an idyllic haven – a hidden gem – where the wind whispers across the hills . . . Selah . . . CBMC St. Louis - Christian Business Men's Connection - invites you to come along with us for our annual fall retreat. This is a time for some outdoor enjoyment and a chance to connect with other guys who are growing in their faith. The evening kicks off with dinner at 6 PM, followed by our first session led by our special guest speaker. We adjourn by 9 PM and spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the charming cottages. Saturday begins with a hearty breakfast before we gather for more enlightening sessions with our speaker. Plenty of free time is woven in and we’ll enjoy lunch together, with the retreat concluding by 3 PM. Lead Pastor | Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church Russ St. John hails from Washington state, where he studied history at Washington State University. He pursued a Master of Divinity at Covenant Seminary in St. Louis and has served both as a pastor and an active-duty Navy chaplain. With a Doctor of Ministry and a PhD, both in the field of preaching, Russ delights in Christ-centered, expository preaching through books of the Bible. Along with serving Twin Oaks Church as lead pastor, he is a visiting instructor at Covenant Seminary, where he trains students to preach. When not working, you might find Russ reading, napping, writing, fishing, or just enjoying time with his wife, Amy, their six children and two dogs. [ The Venue ] Selah Among the Hills is nestled in the hills of the Arcadia Valley in southeast Missouri and is a private retreat venue in a wooded setting. Here you’ll find peace and inspiration as you walk the paths of this historic Christian assembly ground. Guests will experience the beautifully restored cottages, meeting spaces and southern-inspired meals.
