PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Looking for a goofy dog to add to your home? Deuce, a 3-year-old pup at the Prince William County Animal Shelter, is available for adoption now.
Deuce weighs approximately 77 pounds and has not been neutered yet. The animal shelter estimated that he is between three and five years old.
"Deuce is a big, adorable goofball who just wants to play and be loved on by his people," the animal shelter wrote on Deuce's PetFinder page. Deuce was an owner release to the animal shelter, but they do not have information about his interactions with cats or other dogs.
"He's so big and bouncy that we think he might be too much for young children without more advanced training," the animal shelter said of Deuce. However, Deuce does know some basic obedience commands like "sit."
Deuce might take a little while to warm up to new people, but know that it isn't anything personal. "Some positive socialization could help build his confidence," the animal shelter said.
"He's a bit of a bull in a china shop, and can clear a coffee table with just his tail," according to the animal shelter. Ultimately, Deuce would be a great fit with a patient family who can accept this big oaf for who he is.
The Prince William County Animal Shelter's dog kennel is now open for general visitation without an appointment. The number of visitors at one time may be limited.
More information about Deuce and other adoptable animals is available on the Prince William County Animal Shelter's website. The animal shelter is located at 14807 Bristow Rd, Manassas, VA 20112
