Hi Oakland Neighbors! We live right near the Oakland Zoo. We started a pod class last year with our 2 daughters (3 & 6 Y.O.) and their cousins sometimes join. We started it last April when everything shut down and have continued it since. We are now looking to add more kids! Both my husband and I work full-time. I work from home and my husband is a general contractor who works outside the house. We have a dedicated space for the classroom that is separate from our main house. We also have a large outdoor play area. Our girl's current teacher, Diana, is extremely fun, caring, and creative. She has 15 years of experience in STEM education and 20 years of experience in professional administration. She has her B.A. Organizational Leadership and is passionate about growth in people and that "light bulb" moment in both kids and adults. Their daily schedule includes circle time, art, music, language arts (writing, reading, etc.), several snack times, creative play, STEM activities, and outdoor play. My girls are constantly engaged and learning new things. The rate is $15 per hour per child, with a 3 hour minimum per day. Preschool and Kindergarden age preferred. We are flexible with days/hours, inquire if interested! Covid Considerations... Both myself, my husband and their current teacher is vaccinated.
