Assault, Attempted Robbery Suspects Sought In Sterling: Police

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men who are accused of assaulting and attempting to rob a man and his son outside of the Dulles Retail Plaza in Sterling on Thursday. The victim and his son were loading items into their car in the parking lot of the Dulles Retail Plaza at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 6. The victim told police that a silver passenger car pulled up behind him, and the driver began to argue about the victim's vehicle blocking the roadway, according to a report from the sheriff's office. During the argument, two men exited the silver car and continued arguing with the victim. One of the men from the silver car showed the victim a gun and demanded the victim hand over his valuables, police said. Authorities claim that one of the suspects assaulted the victim after he refused to give the suspects any property. The victim then drove away from the area with his son, according to the report. The sheriff's office said the suspects continued to follow the victim and his son in their car. At one point, the suspects are accused of stopping their car in front of the victim near Pacific Boulevard, blocking his path, police said. The victim drove around the suspects and reported the incident at a nearby gas station. The victim reported injuries from the incident, but they were considered minor, according to authorities. The suspects were described as Black men with lean builds and dreadlocks, police said. The men were approximately six feet two inches tall. The sheriff's office said a white woman with long hair was also present in the suspects' vehicle.
