WALNUT CREEK, CA — A two-alarm fire at a senior care home in Walnut Creek has been contained, and all residents have been evacuated, according to a public information officer for Contra Costa Fire. At this point, no injuries have been reported. The fire was reported in the 1500 block of Castle Hill Road at 3:50 p.m. The police department called it "a dangerous situation" in a message to the community asking people to stay away from the area. Blowing embers caused a second fire, which the fire department quickly put out. People in the area report hearing an explosion downtown before the fires erupted.
