AUSTIN, TX — An Illinois man was arrested in connection to the death of a Houston man that took place in Northeast Austin in September 2020. Issac Cesar Morga, 29, of Illinois was arrested in Rock Falls, Illinois in May by the U.S. Marshall's Great Lakes Regional Task Force, the Travis County Sheriff's Office said Thursday. Morga faces a second-degree felony charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and a second-degree felony charge of Manslaughter. The legal process of extradition is currently in progress, authorities said. On Sept. 4, 2020, the Travis County Sheriff's Office was contacted by the family of a man from Houston. The caller said his was hospitalized and in critical condition after a physical altercation that took place in Travis County days earlier. Authorities said neither police or Austin-Travis County EMS were called at the time of the incident. Detectives with the sheriff's office immediately investigated the reported information and learned the Houston man and another man were assaulted around 4 a.m. on Sept. 3 at Bare Cabaret in Northeast Austin. The Houston man later died at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 4. Positive identification is still unknown as the man's autopsy remains pending.
