AUSTIN, TX — University of Texas linebacker Jake Ehlinger was found dead Thursday, police said. Ehlinger is the younger brother of former Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger.
Ehlinger was found around 12:18 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 22nd Street, which is near the university's downtown campus, according to a report by the Austin American-Statesman.
Authorities did not specify how they found him but did say his death is not considered suspicious, the newspaper reports. A cause of death or other details on the incident have yet to be released.

Sam Ehlinger was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round of the NFL draft Saturday.
In a video posted by UT, Ehlinger could be seen hugged by his family, including Jake, as he was told he was being drafted to the NFL team.

The UT Longhorns Twitter page posted a highlights video clip Thursday of Ehlinger's time with the university football team saying: "We love you Jake."
Another post by the team's Twitter page with a memoriam image that said: "Our hearts are broken. We love you Jake. You'll be dearly missed, but never forgotten. 48 (broken heart emoji)."
