The position of Maintenance Technician has the following responsibilities: Knowledge, familiarity, and experience with: * Residential plumbing repair (sinks, tubs, and toilet parts and pvc, shutoff valves, stems, seats, supply lines, troubleshooting, and minor clog clearing) * Residential electrical repair (wiring switches, outlets, installing fixtures, diagnosing power problems) * Residential carpentry and drywall repair (stud finding, drywall installation, finish for doors and trim, hanging and repair of closet rods, types of caulk, wall patch and repair) * Perform work as instructed by the Property Manager. * Maintaining a professional and courteous manner with residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees. * Inclusion in the on-call rotation for after hours coverage. * Assessing after-hours calls to determine need for urgent repair or next-day scheduling. * Timely, efficient, and satisfactory completion of all maintenance service requests. * Maintaining a safe workplace and utilizing safe working practices. * Care of all company owned tools and equipment. Employees are expected to undergo a standard background check and drug screening, have a valid State issued Driver’s License, be authorized to work in the United States, have 3-6 months of related work experience or training, and have a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
