Press release from South Washington County Schools:
May 6, 2021
May is Mental Health Awareness month. To help support students, SoWashCo Schools is promoting the "Stop the Stigma, Let's Talk" campaign.
A small tag that can be attached to a student's backpack is being handed out at all secondary schools to students who want to participate this week. The tag lets others know that they are an ally, and it is ok to talk to them about mental health and to get help.
Each tag promotes local, state and national mental health resources that are available to students and families.
