BURNSVILLE, MN— The city of Burnsville announced that it is looking to hire full-time firefighter/paramedics.
Applications close June 1, the city said. The first round of interviews will begin June 9 and the second round will begin June 22, the city said.
Applicants must have the following certifications:
I.F.S.A.C. or ProBoard Accredited Firefighter II CertificationCurrent National Registry Certification as a ParamedicCurrently certified or eligible for certification as a Paramedic in MinnesotaEligible to obtain MN Firefighter licensure immediately upon hiringNIMS IS-100, NIMS IS-200 and NIMS IS-700Successfully completed a Hazardous Materials Operations NFPA 472 Compliant ClassThere has been a recent shortage of emergency responders in Burnsville.
