Description
Mother's Day is the perfect time to remind expectant moms and other women, especially those in their child-bearing years, that the Ohio Quitline offers free help for those who desire to quit.
Quitting would be the ultimate gift as mommies-to-be plan for that new arrival and create a healthy environment for babies and children. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, smoking during pregnancy increases the chance of complications, having a baby born too early or too small to be healthy. Smoking and secondhand smoke can increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome(SIDS) and negatively impacts the health of children and otherwise healthy infants.
