Cues for what may be pet scams REPOST

Description

Somebody's up to no good! My post got flagged for removal! Some characteristics I've noticed in certain Craig's List ads that make the ad a possible scam (thanks to other posters on here making me aware of some additional facts to watch out for): - if it looks like a stock photo it probably is - the photo is distorted - the photo has an out-of-state phone number written on it - the puppy is often (not always) labeled as 10 weeks old - many ads have come up lately with "cage", "bird cage", or "kennel", a forward slash, and various purebred or mixed breed dogs in the titles; I suspect that the ads are either all fake or somebody has WAY too many breeds of dogs at their home (possibly a puppy mill). - titles and text often (not always) contain odd jumbles of capital and lowercase letters and symbols - most of the breeds used for fake ads are Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Australian Shepherds, Dachshunds, Malteses, Maltipoos, Yorkies, Cavapoos, Shih Tzus, and Labrador and Golden Retrievers -the poster can't even type a legitimate email address - they ask for your personal email and/or phone number
