AURORA, IL—Zoom religious services are going to the wayside as Aurora's Temple B'nai Israel synagogue will reopen for in-person worship services on Friday, May 14.
Rabbi Edward Friedman announced services for Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, May 15, at 9 a.m. (traditional service).
Meetings will be held in the sanctuary, 400 N. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora. The chapel remains closed.
"Shabbat Under the Stars," an outdoor service, will be led by Rabbi Friedman on Friday, June 4, at 7 p.m.
CDC Guidelines will be followed. All congregants entering the temple must wear a mask and social distance. Temple B'nai Israel said it continually evaluates pandemic protocols for participants' safety.
