Roadwork To Close Lanes On LIE In Syosset Overnight

SYOSSET, NY — Construction work on the Long Island Expressway will close some lanes overnight next week in the Syosset area. According to the state Department of Transportation, crews will be doing bridge deck maintenance at exit 44 on the LIE in Syosset, which is for the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway/Route 135. Because of the work, the left, center and HOV lanes will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. on May 11 to 5 a.m. on May 12. The DOT reminds drivers to be careful in construction zones, and to be prepared for traffic on the roadway.
