BROOKHAVEN, GA — Planning on grabbing a bite to eat in Brookhaven? You can help support participating local restaurants through Explore Brookhaven's Picnic in the Parks promotion. Explore Brookhaven, also known as the Brookhaven Convention & Visitors Bureau, is hosting the promotion to help support local eateries. Qualifying orders will receive a reusable picnic basket to enjoy meals outdoors at one of 18 parks in the city, according to a news release. "Explore Brookhaven continues to support our hospitality and tourism partners within the community," said Renee Areng, executive director of Explore Brookhaven, in the release. "Our team is constantly brainstorming new ways to encourage residents, as well as guests, to enjoy the great assets Brookhaven has to offer." Guests must mention the Picnic in the Parks program at participating restaurants to be eligible for a picnic basket. The promotion is not valid on third-party orders such as Uber Eats, GrubHub, DoorDash, Postmates and others.
