Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 05/07/2021 211270023 Preliminary Information: On May 7th, 2021, around 12:11 am, officers responded to a traffic accident with entrapment at the location of I-285 NB and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. Upon arrival, officers located a tractor trailer and a Lexus SUV involved in the collision. Atlanta Fire Rescue also responded on scene to extract the driver of the Lexus from the vehicle. The driver (male) was then transported to the hospital in serious condition. Preliminary Investigation indicates the Lexus was traveling southbound in northbound lanes of traffic of I-285 when it collided into the tractor trailer. The Accident Investigations Unit responded to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
