Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 05/06/2021 211261995 Preliminary information:  On May 6, 2021 at around 7:11 PM, officers were flagged down in the area of Northside Dr and Martin Luther King Jr Dr on a male stating he had been shot. He was transported to the hospital alert, conscious and breathing for further medical treatment.  The suspect is believed to have fled the scene on foot. Preliminary investigation revealed the two males were involved in water sales at the location and got into a verbal dispute over money; that dispute then escalated to gunfire.  Investigators were notified and will be working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.  The investigation continues.  Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
