At the same time that an art show opens at the Daniel Cooney Fine Art gallery in NYC, 37 years after his death at 37 from AIDS, Maine residents and visitors have the opportunity to view- safely, by appointment only- his drawings and paintings on the walls here. Larry Stanton was part of a triangle which included British master, David Hockney. My book,'Takedown Portraits,' about the work was published this week. It's available on Amazon, or can be purchased here by making a donation to the non-profit publisher.
Please note: email first, given Covid-19, this is by appointment to provide safe viewing. The portraits are G rated. My book is R rated, of special interest to those from the LGBTQ community.
