The 1994 crime bill has often been cited as being systemically racist and it disproportionately incarcerated black men. The cowriter and sponsor of that bill was then senator Joe Biden. He referred to blacks as "predators in the streets." Kinda funny how Google has tried to bury and sanitize the facts surrounding the 94 crime bill. Biden gave a eulogy for Senator Byrd in 2010, one of the longest serving democrat senators (51 years) calling him a friend and mentor. Byrd holds the record for longest filibuster while trying to derail the civil rights act of 1964. Byrd was a former member of the KKK and had reached the rank of exalted cyclops within the Klan. Biden has a long history of racist behavior and comments. It is nauseating to listen to Biden try to talk about racism in the this country while ignoring his own contribution to racial division. It is even more sickening to watch media as well as those who voted for him ignore that racist past. Does anyone honestly think he cares about the black community? All he cared about was their vote. Those who call for an end to "systemic racism" ought to at least know who is, in part, responsible for where we are today.
