Live-out Housekeeper with Nanny Duties

Job Description Family in Pacific Palisades looking for a live-out housekeeper, with nanny duties. In addition to general tidying and household assistance, the housekeeper is expected to assist with nannying during the live-in nanny's break time - including watching over, diaper changing, making snacks/ meals, and generally ensuring the wellbeing of the child, assisting the mother/ family. This will be predominantly shared charge, but occasional sole charge. We are looking for someone who is accommodating & approachable, has a flexible schedule, has great attention to detail, and is organized, reliable & work focused. Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-3pm The Family: Two parents, two children (2.5 y/o and newborn) + one dog Salary: $25-30 per hour Start Date: Immediate Requirements: • CPR/First Aid certified • A valid Driver’s License • Happy to travel with the family if required (internationally) • Relevant applicable previous experience, ideally with children of similar ages • Excellent references required from both current and previous employers • Happy to have a background check and sign an NDA as required • Happy to take a Covid vaccine, annual flu shots Key Responsibilities* *Please note the below list is not exhaustive. Housekeeping – 80% Household Cleaning • Cleaning throughout the house: vacuuming, mopping, dusting and wiping surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, wiping windows, etc. • Tidying all rooms to ensure items are neatly stored and rooms look tidy and clean • Tidying the outdoor spaces of the property, including the entryway, stairs, patio, etc. • Washing and/or wiping down outdoor furniture as needed, ensuring proper storage when seasons change • Tidying up after mealtimes Cooking • Light cooking, able to follow a recipe • Making healthy snacks for the children Supplies • Ordering supplies and toiletries • Recording and filing receipts efficiently Mail • Sorting mail and opening packages • Unpacking, and putting away household deliveries • Organizing returns as needed Laundry & Clothing Care • Assisting with laundry, hand washing and ironing – ensuring special attention items are sent to drycleaners • Ensuring linens and towels are clean • Properly folding, organizing drawers and closets Supporting the Family & Team • Personal shopping and running errands as needed • Preparing for family travel, assisting with packing and unpacking luggage • Looking after the family pets as needed • Greeting guests, couriers and tradesmen at the door and overseeing appointments when necessary • Traveling with the family on occasion Nannying – 20% Childcare • Communicating with the nanny and family regarding any schedule changes or things of note at the beginning and end of shifts • Tidying the children’s bedroom and play areas to ensure all games, books, toys, etc. are picked up, cleaned, and stored in their proper location • Looking after the health and well-being of the children – predominantly shared charge, but some sole charge • Looking after all daily care requirements if required – including diaper changing, feeding, naps, overseeing, driving/errands Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: Covid-19 Vaccine
