Conservatives aren't asking that at all, you might be and definitely projecting as Democrats are known to do about others. Cheney will be replaced because her views and public statements are inconsistent with the majority of Republicans in Congress and as a leader she only divides their caucus. Conservatives want nothing to do with your "progressivism" because it harms our country and people. "Progressivism" is Marxism and it destroys nations and their people. You living in San Francisco see this destruction happening on a daily basis and I can't think of a reason you'd be in favor of it. conservatives are asking, how can replacing cheney with a woman be sexist ? it is the fact they want to replace cheney with a woman who is loyal and obedient to a man. to my conservative " friends ", that is not progressive, it is regressive.
