United Management is a company that cares about their team members and the services we provide to our residents and prospects. United Management owns and operates 36 properties spread through out North Carolina and South Carolina. Our properties are all located in what is considered rural areas and are tailored to very low to low income households. We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of unit turns, fulfilling work orders, and preventative maintenance. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings, common areas, and units in the best possible condition. This position is a 32 hr/week position. Monday and Wednesday 8am - 5pm at the Snow Hill location and Tuesday and Thursday 8am - 5pm at the Smithfield location. Responsibilities Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.) Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace doors, etc.) Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. maintaining the cleanliness of the property) and other tasks as assigned Maintain consistent work flow of maintenance building, including cleanliness and organization Skills Proven experience as maintenance technician Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, etc. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Problem-solving skills High school diploma or equivalent Must have basic tool set and knowledge of maintenance operations Must possess a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance Benefits: Dental Insurance and Health Insurance after 90 days of employment Paid Time off after 1 year of employment Retirement Plan after 1 year of employment Please email, or fax resume to HR Director at [email protected] or (910)483-4274.
