ShieldWorks located in Winchester, KY is seeking Installation Technicians for our company. For more than 18 years, ShieldWorks has continued to provide creative interior protection solutions to commercial, industrial, and retail clients throughout North America. We are looking for motivated personnel to join our team! The Installation Technician will be required to perform tasks related to the installation of polyethylene film for dust and debris containment in industrial, commercial, and/or manufacturing sites (basically installing temporary ceilings and walls). Installations will use a variety of hand tools, scissor and/or articulating aerial lifts, while ensuring safety requirements and customer satisfaction are met. Applicants must be willing and able to; (a.) accept direction/coaching from on-site lead person regarding plans, methods, and scheduling; (b.) be comfortable with performing work for extended periods of times at heights (25’ – 80’ from the ground); (c.) occasionally climbing (with approved safety equipment) on building infrastructure (structural steel) 40-60’ above ground; (d.) competently operate scissor and/or articulating aerial lifts (certification training provided). In addition candidates must have the ability to: • Stand in a lift and/or walk on concrete flooring for a minimum of eight hours per day. • Work up to 12 hours per day, non-traditional shifts including weekends, nights or holidays, travelup to 3-15 days consecutively (3-7 typically). • Safely lift and carry a weight of 50 lbs., stand, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, crawl, balance, climb up and down steps, and have good finger and hand coordination, as well as the ability to drive, talk, and hear (speak and understand English). Applicant Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Ability and willingness to travel extensively (Drive/Fly Nationally). • Ability to successfully complete certified safety, lift training, first aid, and CPR training. • Willingness and ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and criminal / background checks (including motor vehicle). • Possession of a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements of our insurance policy; basically have a 5 year clean driving record. • Must have 20/20 vision or wear corrective lenses. * Must be able to pass a physical; basically a CDL physical). * Six months of Construction experience is preferred, but NOT required to start a career with Shieldworks on the introductory level.
