Hello - I have a situation I hope someone here can help with: Very shy & timid, female cat has become extremely fearful of other cats in household...hides and is recipient of major aggression from them for several month now. Her fear has caused many fights and destruction as a result of trying to manage the situation. She is friendly with me & other household member but skittish of most others unless they are around often. Enjoys cat-nip, being pet & brushed. She was a TNR that lived happily with another older cat (sleeping together, grooming etc) until that cat passed last year. She is spayed, about 6 yo long grey hair and small. Has only been indoors since acquired. Would do better in quiet household with no other pets OR with a non-aggressive laid-back cat. Caging causes her to cower in corner, no place in existing house for her to escape to, she is languishing but could flourish with time & kindness from someone who can address her anxiety properly. If anyone can relate to her plight and feels they could offer her refuge I would deliver, give supplies, food and pay for vet check up at your convenience. If you have any suggestions on where else I can turn, that is welcome as well. Many strategies have been tried with no success and even regressions as a result - it's not a life for anyone.
