Looking for a GREAT summer job and a way to promote health and safety in our downtown/waterfront area. We are looking for compassionate, caring people who want to "make a difference" in their community. The Duluth Downtown Waterfront District Clean & Safe Team (sponsored by the Greater Downtown Council), in partnership with the City of Duluth Workforce Development, is currently accepting applications for “Seasonal” part-time Ambassadors as Community Outreach Specialists. These positions will be predominantly day shift hours (weekdays and limited weekends). Desirable candidates must have the capacity to be on their feet for several hours, work in all types of weather and have the capability to lift moderate weight. We are seeking individuals who are able to work independently but also as a team, who possess good verbal communication skills and are highly reliable. • All uniforms and training are provided • Wage: $12.00/hour • Paid weekly NOTE: These positions are funded through a Federal grant awarded to the City of Duluth and applicants must qualify to meet eligibility requirements as set forth by the Dislocated Worker Program through Workforce Development (eligibility form attached). Applicants must also meet Block by Block Inc. employment eligibility standards. Applicants will be referred to City of Duluth Workforce Development for eligibility screening. Eligible applicants will be forwarded to the Duluth Downtown Waterfront District Clean & Safe Team for further employment eligibility screening (Interview, Criminal Background Check, and pre-employment Drug Screen).
